Project against Natural Hazards in Chosica
TDM completed the installation of dynamic barriers against natural hazards in the District of Chosica, Lima - Peru. This work awarded by the National Water Authority (ANA, Autoridad Nacional del Agua) was carried out in a record time of 90 days. The purpose of the barriers is to mitigate the effect of possible mudslides because of the El Niño phenomenon.
This initiative represents the largest debris flow engineering project in South America, with barriers up to 6 meters high and 60 meters long.
